The Climate Talk
The Climate Talk is a two/three week climate literacy and solutions program between Arabic and English speakers. Our team focused on identifying the root causes of climate change and learning how to address these issues.
Reaching five countries (Lebanon, India, USA, Palestine and Jordan) and people ages 5-70, our workshop program allowed participants to connect with other climate activists, learn about the varying climate issues in different regions, and provided tools to construct climate action in their own lives.
DAY ONE: Literacy
What is climate change? How does it happen, and how does it impact our lives?
Participants learned about the scientific and socioeconomic aspects of climate change.
DAY TWO: Solutions
What are pros and cons of solutions? How can I address climate change in my own community?
Participants learned about existing climate solutions, and how to create their own climate actions.
Action Items
Throughout the week between Day One and Two of the program, participants engaged in interactive activities via Instagram. These items allowed participants to explore different methods of climate action through a virtual yet informative platform.
Arabic (North Levantine) and English translations provided.
